Adams Radio Group and Tallahassee Ford are proud to announce the “Camp Out for Hunger” event, a week-long initiative to collect non-perishable food items for Second Harvest of the Big Bend. From March 17th through March 24th, a dedicated team will be camping out at the Walmart parking lot on Thomasville Road to raise awareness and gather crucial donations for local families facing food insecurity.
The event will kick off on Monday, March 17th at 8:00 AM and continue 24/7 until Sunday, March 24th.
“We are committed to making a positive impact in our community,” said Twiggins, Program Director/Hot 104.9, Adams Radio Group. “The ‘Camp Out for Hunger’ is a way for us to bring awareness to food insecurity when school is not in session, and provide much-needed support to Second Harvest of the Big Bend.”
“Tallahassee Ford is looking forward to being a part of Camp Out for Hunger and supporting Second Harvest. Making a difference locally is our hometown promise. We believe a stronger community drives us all forward,” adds Bill Mckinney of Tallahassee Ford.
Donations of canned goods, boxed pasta, and other non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated. Community members are invited to drop off their contributions at the designated collection point in the Walmart parking lot on Thomasville Road throughout the week
Second Harvest of the Big Bend plays a vital role in providing food assistance to individuals and families in the region. The “Camp Out for Hunger” will help replenish their shelves and ensure they can continue their essential work.
